Leo Piper! Check out this chair, it’s a kit-kat!
Piper Leo come on, we have to buy a first aid kit.
Leo But at least let me take a picture, I mean, how often do you see a kit-kat bench?
Piper Fine, but be quick!
Percy What’s this I see? Annabeth Chase, the Annabeth Chase struggling with homework?
Annabeth Excuse me? What was that Mr. ‘straight Ds’?

Be Brave: Has anyone else noticed this?
Rick Riordan has been building up the Percy and Annabeth reunion for quite some time. First, there was the whole “He’s missing!” thing. Then the “Percy Jackson is at the other camp, and he probably doesn’t remember who he is.” Then, the “Time to meet my other family!” and now the roman ship…
Hmmm…Let me start off by saying that the series is not centered around romance (like so many other teenage books that make me want to bang my head against a desk).
Having said this and knowing that there are bigger things to deal with, along with Percabeth not being a mushy lovey dovey couple, I am expecting some sort of reunion but a brief one if anything.
Annabeth’s feelings in MOA sneek peek lead us to believe that something bad is about to happen and very soon. I’m guessing after this bad event occurs (like maybe the Roman God of protection, Terminus, blowing up as it hinted at an “exploding statue” in the preview) the Romans, being put on edge, may attack and everything will be thrown into chaos. Percy and Annabeth, about to have the big reunion everyone has been waiting for, will be whisked into battle and probably won’t speak to the other until the next Senate meeting. Which, knowing the Romans, would probably take place after everything settles down.
That’s my take on what’s probably going to happen at beginning of the next book. As much as I want the grand Percy and Annabeth kiss, I more just want them to finally be with each other again.
